Abstract:
With the advent of technology and its advancement in society, this is the time for revisiting issues related to individual integrity and collective integration among various disciplines. Also worthy of critical review is reconciling teaching, learning, and research methods which address various complex issues in society with scientific advancement, inquiry, veer inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary methods in the effort to find solutions. Nevertheless, many challenges still need to be addressed by more inclusive research approaches. Accordingly, the latest research trends are readily looking at linking Science, Arts, Social sciences, Mathematics, and Engineering disciplines, with other seemingly unrelated disciplines. Study data indicate inter-disciplinary approaches yield qualitative, quantitative, empirical, computational, and theoretical methods that strengthen research practices, benefit a maximum number of people, and offer a better guide to policymakers.
Any field of study originates from “creative ideas”. During the last century, there was a great emphasis on sowing creativity into young children (Wallas 1926) at their earliest exposure to education. With a focus on artistry and creativity, there were empirical (Gilford, 1988), quantitative (Torrance 1967), and qualitative (Clifford, 1964) studies to define, measure and assess the value of creativity and artistry in different fields.
We seek to build upon this research and create a forum to explore international practices by promoting an artistic and creative research praxis upon which to bridge traditional research methods and innovative ideas for both education and industry.
To create a platform for publicizing the latest innovative research practices, we introduce you to a new journal, the International Journal of Social Sciences and Artistic Innovations. Our intent is to create an opportunity for all researchers to contribute their novel research ideas and make them available to the broad reach of a new audience by publishing in this journal.
